Autumn
My name is Autumn. I like it here as they let me lean against them and lay at the feet. I do not mind the crate when they put me in there. Overall they tell me that I am a sweet-tempered girl. Here I am snuggling in bed with my best buddy (whom you can't see) and foster brother (of the human kind). Snuggling is one of my favorite things to do. But don't let that fool you. I like to snuggle but I have a lot of pep in my step. I am excited to be here and cannot wait to go to my forever home.

A double howdy from us….Maggie and Gunner. We are among TLC’s newest intakes. We are a bonded pair of labs and are ten years young. We are desperately seeking a home where we can be together furever. We are from the same litter and have lived our entire lives together. We had an amazing life until just last month when our whole world came crashing down.
First, our owner lost his house. We would have stuck by him through thick or thin but then he told us he could not afford to keep us anymore since he would be homeless. With no where else to go he had to take us to a local animal shelter. We lost our owner that day but at least we still had each other. They had to separate us and the shelter workers said we cried all day every day so whenever they could, they would put us together. It looked hopeless for us. Not only did we lose our home and our owner but now we were facing the possibility of being put to sleep due to space constraints at the shelter. The shelter workers kept telling us they would try their very best to get us into a rescue. Then, one day, we heard them whisper that a rescue had agreed to take us in. We were worried we would be separated but TLC took us in AND we get to stay together.

Hi, I'm Lizzy. My foster mom calls me Busy Lizzy because I'm always busy making new friends. I'm a lab/golden retriever mix, around 7 or 8 years old. Somehow I ended up as a stray and, luckily, the shelter who took me in realized what I sweet girl I am. They said that I would make some lucky family very happy, so they helped me get into rescue. So far, I haven't met a person or a dog I didn't like. I walk really well on a leash and was great at an of-leash dog park. I also like snuggling next to my foster mom.
So, a little bit about us. Maggie, that’s me, is a lover, snuggler, and avid ball player. Nothing is better than to simply chase a tennis ball. My brother Gunner, watches over me. Gunner always makes sure that I am the one who gets to catch the ball or bring it back to my owner. I am good with cats, kids, and everyone I meet. I am a great car rider too. Now my brother, Gunner, is much the same as me. He has all the same characteristics but he’s a lot bigger than I. Gunner doesn’t like chasing balls as much as I do but he admits his favorite past time is sitting on the couch snuggling with his owner. He also rides great in the car and gets along ith cats and kids. Gunner loves to swim. Show him a pool and away he goes. Well, checkout his private video and see just how much he likes to swim.
Overall, we are a good catch. If you adopt us both, you’ll never know we’re around. Our foster mom said we are the easiest fosters she’s ever had. We would like a little exercise but don't need much. We're just grateful for whatever we can get. Throw a ball for me and I'm all set but I'll never turn you down for a walk either!!! If you are looking for a great pair of low maintenance, already trained dogs with lots of love to give, come and meet us!
I'm such a happy girl, I wiggle a lot while I'm settling in. Each day I'm feeling more and more comfortable in my new surroundings (note from Lizzy's foster mom: It is likely that Lizzy was an "outside dog." She is just learning how to go up and down stairs and has had a few housebreaking issues, but she has improved already). I'm looking for a forever home where I can get as much love as I give, have a warm bed, and some good food. Are you ready meet me? I'm ready to meet you!
I came to TLC heartworm positive and am now receiving treatment. I'm doing very well with the treatment and feel GREAT! I'm already back on my feet and ready to play!

MAX
Hi, I'm Max and I was surrendered to a shelter because I had a hankering for the neighbor's chickens. So, I would prefer if my new family didn't have any of those tempting tasty feathered friends around! The shelter was full and TLC saved me just in time.
I'm a 4 year old lab/beagle mix and weigh 55lbs, so I'm smaller than most labs. I'm good with other dogs and kids and cats too! I'm already neutered, housetrained, I walk nicely on a leash and I know basic commands like sit, lay and shake! And the best thing is that I'm not hyper and relatively laid back - I like a daily walk or maybe a trip to the dog park and then I'm good to go. I'm real quiet in the house too. WHEW! I sound like a pretty fabulous fella don't I!?!?! And I'm cute too! What more can you ask for!?!

Lucy
Hi! I am Lucy, I am party of a litter of puppies that TLC just took in. I am being fostered in Northern IL. Hi I'm Lucy, a four month old female black Labrador mix. My foster parents tell me that I'm very sweet and well behaved. I go right into my kennel, don't bark, get along well with the other four Labs in the house and am also great with kids. I weigh 23 pounds but am growing very fast. I love exploring the yard, fetching the ball & eating sticks. I am very gentle, love to snuggle and give puppy kisses. I would love to find my forever home and be someone's faithful companion!
Lucy is seen to the left and below!
Blue
Hi! I am Blue, and I like to sing. I will be adding more pictures and updating my profile soon. Check back to learn more about me!!
George
Hello, my name is George. I am a little shy, but like to follow my older, wiser foster brother around. I love to snuggle with the kids who live here as well. I am still learning about my new foster home, but will add my to my profile shortly.
Recently some puppies joined TLC's foster care program. They are about 4 months old and were born on March 12, 2010. There are 4 of them and TLC was told they were lab mixes, but they look very close to purebred labs. TLC will update the website as the foster homes send in pictures and profiles for them, please stay tuned for updates!

Padme
My name is Padme. I have spent a little bit of time settling into my foster home and overall I like it here. There are kids, a cat, some ferrets, and other dogs here for me to play with. Right now my foster Mom says that I have been pretty low-energy for a puppy, but we expect my energy to increase as I settle in. I will make a great addition to any family! Contact TLC is you are interested in meetign me, Padme!
