Zach came to TLC after a long stay at the Humane Society. Surrendered to the Humane Society after a foreclosure, Zach didn't stand a chance. His age was working against him because potential adopters wanted younger dogs. Several other groups were contacted about Zach but none wanted to take on an older dog. Enter TLC and a brand new foster home willing to take Zach even though they were new parents of 10 weeks. Zach is doing good and is a bundle of energy. No one would guess he was an aging gentleman. Zach had some medical needs and is very grateful to Hobbs of Chicago, IL for helping with his needs. TLC viewers might find it interesting that Zach's foster parents were the first angels in the guardian angel program. They provided support for Lightening (still with her forever home today) and now their foster will benefit from the same program.
Lightening is a 12 year sweetheart who was left alone in an apartment
after her owner passed away. She came to TLC with a facial tumor later
determined to be cancer. She has had the lump removed from her face and
is doing fine now. Lightening should have several rechecks and she
needs a guardian angel. Cosmo was no stranger to bad circumstance.
Cosmo's family was taken from him due to a divorce. Cosmo said good bye
to five children and his canine brother Jake and started a new life with
Eileen and Mark. Today, Cosmo is living life to its fullest and wanted
to give back to a less fortunate lab. Cosmos family selected Lightening
and Cosmo became Lightening's Guardian Angel. Thank you Eileen, Mark,
and Cosmo!TLC is a 501(c)(3)
